This freelance project challenged with me bringing character to a new build for a small family. They liked Mid Century as a style so we agreed a red thread of this style throughout the house.
They wanted the Snug as a place to escape, read and talk so to my advantage wanted no TV in the space, hooray no big black box soaking up all the creative. For a relaxing feel I looked to my images of the Lake District on a rainy day for inspiration.
I picked colour up from the grey clouds, and moody tones of moss greens and navy, I translated these colours onto a sophisticated velvet material. I also added I also added some wild animal & insect motifs.
Mid Century touches are shown through the Bauhaus artwork & Orla Kiely blind fabric.
The bespoke joinery takes focal point whilst working together with the glass tables to give the illusion of more space.
